Position Scope Responsible for coordinating all resort initiatives in respect of energy management, environmental sustainability and welfare.
Actively work with the resort management team to reduce the environmental impact of our business activities and to continually improve and innovate on practices aimed at conserving natural resources, minimizing waste and pollution, enhancing indoor environmental quality, establishing and reporting on key environmental performance indicators and raising environmental awareness among our associates, guests and communities.
Job Functions Monitor and communicate all Resort sustainability initiatives and directives to ensure full compliance with all standards, targets and requirements.
Ensure full legislative compliance with EHO, Health & Safety, environmental processes, licensing and permitting requirements.
Proactively co-ordinate all initiatives, projects and tasks across the resort in line with agreed timelines and targets.
Co-ordinate 3rd Party Audit(s) ensuring all remedial actions are adhered to within specified timelines.
Co-ordinate the annual Environmental Impact Survey, proactively undertaking all identified action points within specified timelines.
Work on all related Resort projects, processes and procedures to minimize the resorts environmental impact on our 6 focus areas of Energy, Water, Emissions, Waste, Supply Chain and Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ).
Work as an active member (Chair) of the Resort Green Council, as well as undertaking the delivery of Green Council sessions at Company Induction.
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION:
Educated to degree level (or equivalent), preferably in a related subject.
Previous experience in a similar role desired.
Demonstrates an active interest in green issues and the management of Carbon.
Excellent communication skills - verbal, written and presenting.
Computer literate and experienced in working with a variety of computer systems and programmes including Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Internet and Intranet sites and bespoke software systems and applications.
Full clean driving licence is essential.
