About The Role The role is a hands-on learning experience and on completion, the successful candidate will achieve a Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Level 4/5 certificate in Housing Practice.

To work effectively as part of the Housing Planning and Resources team delivering corporate objectives through the work of the department and under the direction of the Head of Service through divisional service plans.

To contribute to the collection and monitoring of all service and delivery data across the council’s housing functions, including its capital and development programmes.

You will be highly organised, an effective problem solver, excellent communicator and caring towards our residents.

Above all, you must be passionate about serving local people and willing to go the extra mile to ensure that their needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce reports, data and analysis on time and in line with management deadlines and expectations, to the required standard and on a right-first-time basis.

To lead on undertaking all necessary administration (record keeping and stakeholder communications), reporting (oral and written to internal and external stakeholders), monitoring & evaluation (including data analysis and presentation) of the projects allocated to the post holder.

  Support in monitoring of new affordable housing and housing need, to ensure the service delivery is aligned to the demands of the borough.

  Manage the preparation of reports, briefings and plans and strategies.

Including collecting data for needs assessments and gap analysis of service provision, including identifying areas where data may be absent.

As well as working on smaller self-contained research projects Your Skills:

Ability to analyse complex, large datasets and provide summary information at an appropriate level, for both colleagues and senior managers.

Advanced knowledge and experience of using Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

   A self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude, displaying a high level of interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to self-learn and develop bespoke solutions.

  Ability to develop project plans, manage projects in line with natural or prescribed project management frameworks, including coordinating simultaneous delivery of multiple projects.

Professional Qualifications:

A degree in housing related subject or alternatively demonstrable experience in working in Housing, Planning or Property field.
