The role will include collaboration and liaison with Consultant medical staff, ward/departmental staff, and other CNSs within HCA, to provide seamless evidence based holistic pathway of care for all patients referred into the service.Duties & ResponsibilitiesWork within The Harley Street & other facility clinicalnursespecialists to provide expert clinical advice to the healthcare team taking into account all aspects of Clinical Governance.Promote and develop the use of evidence based practice to improve the outcomes of patient care by enabling people to access, identify, appraise and interpret information to meet their needsProvide specialist advice, guidance and support at an advanced level of knowledge to patients, carers and healthcare professionals.Be an educational resource and participate in the continuing education of the multi-professional health care team in all aspects of their specific specialities.Participate in and initiate clinical audit undertaken in relation to specific needs and the ongoing service development.Expand and develop existing and new networks to ensure the dissemination of best practice across The Harley Street Clinic & HCA, and nationally for patients with oncology needsSkills & ExperienceNMC registered NurseExtensive experience Gynae with Oncology, radiotherapy background or has preferably experience working as a GynaeOncologyNurseSpecialistThe role requires experience in both Medical Oncology and Clinicaloncology.Knowledge of surgical and radiological interventions for Gynae is also an advantage.Post Registration Qualification relevant to the role.Experience of working within the ClinicalNurseSpecialist role or similar senior levelMaster’s degree or working towards-DesirableKnowledge of relevant national cancer policies and proceduresGood verbal and non-verbal communication skillsAbout UsHCA Healthcare UK – The World’s largest private healthcare group; providing award winning primary, acute and complex care.At The Harley Street Clinic, we provide a range of complex care services for adults, specialising in oncology, cardiology/cardiaothoracic surgery, major complex surgery and neurosurgery.
