So what's your next change? We are looking for a Documentcontroller to join Airbus Defence and Space in either Portsmouth or Stevenage.
You will join the administration and document control team and report to our CADM Manager.
As a DocumentController, you will be responsible for both internal and external documentation and or data delivered to the Project, in collaboration with the Project Team and the Configuration Manager.
You will control the project(s) documentation and data in a team environment, in collaboration with other Documentation Control members, with overall formal line reporting to the CADM Team Leader.
A documentation officer may be assigned to several projects and is expected to act as a team player in a shared workload environment.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM Internal and external document/datamanagement covering:
Recording of documents in the company PDM (Product DataManagement) database Creation and control of metadata.
Distribution of documents/data and creation of Data-packs.
Support Project end users for document-related queries.
Monitor and control the quality of internal documents via formal checks.
Propose process improvements to improve efficiencies where identified.
Where required recording and controlling non-documentdata (media etc.).
Support to Project Configuration Manager and/or Local Team Leader as required.
Developing and maintaining DMS training material and training staff as required.
ABOUT YOU Experience in utilising Product DataManagement (PDM) & DMS databases and product lifecycle management systems Experience within Defence and Space manufacturing is desirable Experience with processing documents through configuration systems Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and understand complex classifications Controlling documents through a lifecycle HOW WE CAN SUPPORT YOU Many of our staff work flexibly in many different ways, including part-time.
