Job Summary To produce and publish cut through content for our corporate colleague communications channels (including intranet, TEAMs / Communities as well as head office channels such as screens) reaching the right colleagues with the right messages in the right format through the right channels Works closely with Corporate Affairs leadership team, Head of Colleague Communications, External communications team, Colleague Communications Business Partners and Officers, the wider Corporate Affairs department and content owners across our family of accountable businesses and key functions and teams such as HR and Plan A.
Key accountabilities of the role Build a good understanding of the issues, challenges and priorities for the business - and how the leadership is transforming the business - and establish a network of contacts to ensure information and knowledge is kept up to date Maintain good knowledge of our colleague communications and engagement strategy and its role in enabling the business transformation, culture change and performance Ensure creative content tells a consistent story; supporting and embedding the company purpose of Making the Everyday Remarkable Develop the strategy and governance framework for our internal corporate channels including our intranet, Yammer/Communities, TEAMs and head office channels Contribute to the development of the content strategy for our internal corporate channels; working with the Head of Colleague Communications and the Colleague Communications Business Partners and Officers Manage the day-to-day activities for the content strategy; tracking content schedules, acting as the go to person and, assisted by the Production Assistants in the team, creating unmissable, dynamic content that brings our internal messages to life in the most compelling and powerful ways; driving reach and maximising engagement through a range of content formats and assets Generating ideas for turning messages, communication and campaign objectives into stand out content Producing / commissioning images, graphics, photography, infographics, videos, blogs, Vlogs, podcasts, animation, newsletters and printed collateral and materials that make every content moment matter Editing and copywriting text and materials Putting the voice of our stores and customer centricity at the heart of our messages Publishing content on internal digital channels; complying with governance processes for approvals and sign off Editing, repackaging and repurposing text and content to maximise reach across different channels Creating high impact presentations Maintain strong links with the wider Corporate Affairs Team to ensure a regular flow of stories, news and features for our internalchannels, aligned with the content strategy and plan, and work closely with the other contentmanagers to ensure cross-channel content is appropriate coordinated and aligned Use analytics and metrics to develop stories and maximise reach Ensure all content is consistent with our tone of voice, brand identity and editorial guidelines Manage the content management system for the intranet ensuring it is configured to meet our needs and produce guidelines and deliver training for content owners Manage the relationship with Tech and ensure upgrades and refreshes for the intranet / Teams are delivered on time and on budget Conduct regular audits of our digital channels and manage editorial workflows including a schedule for requesting, creating, editing, publishing and retiring content; eliminating redundant and /or duplicated content to ensure the intranet is kept current and accurate Provide guidance and advice to content owners, including senior leadership and Exco, helping them to turn information for the intranet and Teams into compelling copy / content Track digital channel analytics and evaluate content performance including site visits, repeat traffic and engagement metrics and use data to test new content ideas to attract new audiences and further dial up engagement Maintain up-to-date digital and channel knowledge and keep abreast of trends, best practice and emerging technologies for internal engagement (e.g.
Tik Tok) Key skills and experience Internal communications experience in a corporate setting Strong writer and creativity Strong understanding of various channels, including digital communications Digital channel experience - Teams, Sharepoint, Intranet, Head Office channels, etc. Experis Ltd SouthWestEnglandEngland
