Job Advert Are you an experienced Supplier Manager looking for a move? We are looking for a motivated individual looking to have a real impact and help drive continuous improvement across a critical set of service providers in the Operations, Waste & Recycling categories.

The Procurement function will help enable the delivery of this strategy by working closely with Asda's ‘Goods, not for Resale' suppliers.
Your Role In this newly adapted role, as ContractManager for Operations, Waste & Recycling, you will help build and shape our agreements with a range of suppliers including our Consumables Consolidation partner Bunzl and one of our Waste & Recycling partners, Veolia, looking after a spend in excess of £100M.
You will interact closely and gain exposure with various internal senior stakeholders including Retail Operations, Sustainability, Asda Logistics Services, Finance and Legal.
Your prime role will be to maintain open communication channels, to help drive continuous improvement.
You will have a performance mindset and ensure, through regular engagement, that contractual obligations & responsibilities are met.
You will be immersed in the dynamics of the external market and have a good understanding of industry best practices.
You will be responsible for the effective planning and handling of commercial agreements, throughout the contract lifecycle, effectively managing both risk and growth opportunities.
About You You will have a proven background within a procurement environment.
The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and use these to influence plans and decisions will be critical.
You should be able to work in a dynamic environment, often within tight time constraints.
Previous experience in managing large service contracts in one or more of the categories is desirable Knowledge of the Packaging Recovery Note market and how it operates Detailed understanding of strategic commercial sourcing processes is not necessary; however, we expect you will have demonstrable experience in commercial negotiations.
Knowledge of procurement best practices is preferred.
