An experienced Solar PV ContractsManager, based in the South of the UK, with previous experience of delivering various sized Commercial and Domestic Solar PV projects. The position is to help establish, manage and grow a Solar PV Business as a standalone but complimentary business to an existing group of successful and long-established roofing businesses.
The ContractsManager will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating contracts with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards and the ultimate deliver of the Projects themselves through the management of the team installing the Solar PV systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in contract management, with essential experience gained in the solar PV industry and with the desire to further and grow their career and this position into more of a General Manager role and eventually overseeing the entire running of the business.

General overview of tasks will involve; Help to develop, contribute and implement the overall business plan & strategy for the solar PV business, including identifying new business opportunities and potential risks.
Helping obtain and continued compliance of all accreditations including MCS & PAS2030.
Build, upskill & manage a high-performing team, ensuring that all employees have the necessary skills, resources, and support to achieve business objectives.
Work closely with the Directors of the Group of roofing businesses to help develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to capitalise on quick wins along with medium and long term sales strategy.
Helping to Securing places across various frameworks and industry bodies including UKDEA, ESPO, OECD, YPO & other renewable, decarbonisation & Zero Carbon framework pathways.
Helping to identify and secure grants and funding streams to make the commercials more favourable for clients and attractive to secure business.
Contributing to the financial management of the business, including budgeting, forecasting and ensuring financial targets are met across each project and the business as whole too.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies.
Prepare reports and presentations on contract management activities for senior management.
Ensuring best prices are obtained from suppliers and distributers of solar panels, solar tiles, roof mounting systems and other required products.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and use this knowledge to guide business strategy and decision-making.
Continuously review and improve operational processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Represent the business at conferences, trade shows, and other industry events.
Experience & Skills Required Previous Contract Management or Operations Management experience across the Solar PV industry.
Strong Contract Management negotiations of Solar PV works.
Project delivery experience of ideally Commercial & Domestic roofing Solar PV projects, ideally up to medium and large KW sized systems.
Understanding of various roofing mounting systems and solutions for Commercial & Domestic roofs.
Knowledge of Renewable and Solar PV accreditations, governance and regulations.
Proven track record of successfully growing and scaling businesses.
Strong P&L, financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial forecasting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Strong leadership team management skills, to motivate and inspire a team to achieve objectives.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and on budget.
Knowledge of health and safety, environmental, and quality standards.
A passion for sustainability, decarbonisation and renewable energy.
