* Troubleshooting and resolving database performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc * Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools * Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention * Knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands, Clustering, Database mirroring, Replication * Implementing operational automation where the need or opportunity arises * Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL Code and design (stored procs, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints) * Proven documentation skills for processes and procedures * Install and configure new SQL Servers and apply security and stability patches across all environments. * Manage the security and disaster recovery aspects of a database. * Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security * Carry out capacity planning * Control access permissions and privileges * Required to help with any additional tasks required by management * Support and administration of Snowflake databases in the Cloud (SaaS)Technical Skills and Experience:
* Qualified to university equivalent * Experience managing MS SQL Databases * Microsoft Database Qualification * Web-specific technology expertise.

* Demonstrable use of working and writing in T-SQL * Related application and software/OS experience including any of the following:
