This is an exciting role with an opportunity to develop a learning & development focused academy around a key HMRC strategic technology.
The Pega Academy builds staff capability and strives to be the primary source for Pega learning and development at all levels, from beginner to expert.
It provides a variety of different capability uplift approaches including shadowing, classroom learning, hands on training, coaching and expert-led sessions.
CDIO CE & ITBS purpose is to drive a customer centric approach to transforming services for HMRC Customers.
We work closely with business collaborators, contractors and suppliers - our aim is to drive digital innovation and to re-engineer services aligned to our IT, contractual and sourcing strategies and to deliver significantly improved digital services.
This role is for the Pega Academy Strategic Lead, providing strategic direction for HMRCs Pega Academy and building staff capability across the organisation.
Job description As Pega Academy Strategic Lead, you will:
• be responsible for successfully developing and evolving the Pega Academy to meet ongoing business needs, both in terms of abilities required and approach to meeting training needs • communicate with DDaT profession leads, other functional academies and senior business stakeholders to understand the learning landscape and inspire change • champion learning and experiential development for staff • create medium - and long-term plans, ensuring the appropriate controls and governance are in place • coach others, facilitating continuous improvement and applying the most appropriate tools and techniques • proactively manage dependencies, overcome obstacles, and get the best value against constraints.

• build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the organisation Person specification Essential Criteria:
• Experience leading continuous planning in a complex, uncertain, environment • Experience designing and leading training programmes • A working knowledge of learning and development techniques applicable to technical training • Strong communication skills, able to engage and persuade senior stakeholders, translating technical information for non-technical audiences • Experience of coaching and mentoring others Desirable Criteria:
