If so, this is an exciting opportunity for you to lead on the ExternalReporting process for RetailFinance.
You'll be the voice of RetailFinance, facing into a broad range of customers across Investor Relations, Finance Business Partners, Group Strategy and Corporate Affairs and of course the Divisional Finance Director.

Reporting into the Divisional Reporting Senior Manager, you’ll work alongside 6 colleagues, leading and co-ordinating the Externalreporting process.
Colleagues in the team benefit from a multifaceted view of the Retail business and work closely with all Retail teams such as Homes, Savings, Current Accounts, Private Banking, Transport, Cards, and Loans.
Our Hybrid ways of working means that you can find a work-life balance that suits you, with a mix of home and office working.
The expectation currently is that you work a minimum of two days a week in the Office.
What you’ll do:
Own and lead the RetailExternalreporting process, working closely with Finance Business Partners, Investor Relations, and the Business to support the quarterly published results.
Demonstrate commercial understanding and a questioning mindset with the ability to manage multiple customers, being key to a successful quarterly cycle.
Prepare the divisional highlights for the News Release, through effective relationships with the Business.
Interpret complex financial and non-financial information to support the Retail story, and where necessary provide challenge to ensure statements are robust.
Ensure a well-controlled framework is in place surrounding verification of all Retail related content through the Annual Report and Accounts, News Release, Investor slides and Strategy content.
Provide a pragmatic approach to problem solving and a desire to deliver solutions, which are essential to lead a smooth quarterly cycle.
Exhibit sound judgement and challenge, to support bold decision making.
Analyse performance trends and drivers, to relay key messages and offer guidance / options to convey the Retail position.
Continually review and challenge existing processes, drive forward change, and champion simplification initiatives! Embed the Group’s culture and vision through visible leadership, being a role model for the Group’s leadership behaviours.
What we’re looking for..

We're looking for a Finance professional with a proven record gained in a range of roles, with experience of Financial Services.
Plus you'll need to have/be:
Accounting qualification preferable (ACA or CIMA).
Display strong leadership skills, comfortable taking ownership and leading through others, along with responsibility for their own work.
Experience of building and establishing positive relationships.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a consistent track record in creating and sharing clear and tailored communications, at all levels of the organisation.
Upbeat and pro-active approach with ability to act on own initiative.
Ability to influence - using compelling arguments to gain the support and dedication of others to drive forward actions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
Diligence and self-review with a curious mindset.
Eager to learn and enjoy being challenged.
Experience of TM1 would be desirable.
