Are you a FireSafetyTechnician who has worked on fire alarm systems / fire extinguishing installations / firesafety / surveys / consultations? Based out of our Bridgewater site, you will become our Senior FireSafetyTechnician, covering all installation, service, maintenance and commissioning of our range of firesafety equipment.
BASIC SALARY:
up to £40,000 BENEFITS:
· Paid door to door.
· Typical day is 10-11 hours (contracted for 9, so up to 2 hours per day overtime (at time + ¼).
· Bonus of £3-4k · Company Van (with personal use option).
· Pension:
5% employee / 3% Employer · 25 Days holiday + Bank Holidays LOCATION:
Based at Bridgewater site.
You could be based in:
Bridgewater, Burnham-on-Sea, Chard, Exmoor, Frome, Gillingham, Glastonbury, Ilminster, Minehead, Quantock, Shepton Mallet, Street, Taunton, Wells, Weston-Super-Mare, Wincanton, Yeovil or anywhere within easy access of the M5 corridor.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
FireSafetyTechnician / Fire Alarm Technician / Service Technician - Safety products.
As our new FireSafetyTechnician, you will be using your knowledge and experience of alarm solutions and/or firesafety.
You will be used to working in busy construction environment and have a proven track record in the service/maintenance/installations/commissioning safety sectors.
As part of our 20 strong safety team, you'll focus on being one of our front-line technicians, representing the business as a proud member of our desirable service and system offering.
You will interact and work on our key customers site, providing a professional and diligent service.
Keeping safety at the heart of everything you do, your goal will be to ensure you are securing safety, with innovative emergency systems and outstanding support.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
FireSafetyTechnician / Fire Alarm Technician / Service Technician - Safety products..
To apply for this FireSafetyTechnician role, you MUST have experience in firesafety on industrial / construction sites.
It's likely that you will have either firesafety or alarm system experience, but you could have any type of relevant experience, including:
· BS5306:
fire extinguishing installations · BS5389:
fire detection & alarm systems for buildings · Code of practice for design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of systems in non-domestic premise.
· Fire detection and fire alarm systems for buildings - Code of practice for the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of emergency voice communication systems.
· Fire extinguishing installations and equipment on premises.
Commissioning and maintenance of portable fire extinguishers.
Code of practice.
In addition, you will most likely have some kind of engineering qualification and background.
Much of your time will be spent testing, servicing and fault finding, so you'll need excellent record keeping as well as the communication skills to manage a wide range of customer safety systems.
