The Engineering Sr Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to drive a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and deployment of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team.
The overall objective of this role is to lead efforts to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned framework.
As GlobalHead of BackboneNetworkServices, you will oversee daily activities of the most critical network domains and systems with global or region-wide impact, such as Data center interconnect, Carrier Neutral CoLocation connectivity, DNS/DHCP, Internet content delivery network, geo and server load balancer services.
You are responsible for the overall performance and availability of those network infrastructure globally.
Responsibilities include governance of policies, overseeing network stability and implementing technology solutions.
You should be a responsible leader with an analytical and strategic mind and have a broad knowledge of technology.

Ultimately, you'll ensure our operations run smoothly and that people are productive.
A good understanding of the industry, direct competitors' products and services, is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business.
Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise and related subject areas.
Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.
Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary.
Responsible for executing functional strategy in area managed.
Determines approach to implementing functional strategy.
Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and contribution to future strategy of the area(s).
Impact reflects strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions or businesses.
Direct report to a C16 role and functions as an integral member of the functional leadership team within a country/site location, job family, or line of business.
Qualifications:
15+ years of relevant experience in an Engineering role with extensive experience in business, functional and people management.
Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment Project Management experience Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements Proven track record of operational process change and improvement Education:
