Global IT OperationsEngineer - London (Cloud-Virtualisation-Infrastructure) £62,000 to £72,000 DGH are recruiting for a Global IT OperationsEngineer on behalf of a leading global law firm.
Responsible for delivering IT Operations across the Firm.
Areas of responsibility include IT Infrastructure maintenance, patching, scripting, server builds, monitoring of systems for capacity and operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure monitoring is in place for all IT platforms.
* Monitor performance and capacity of environment, appropriately responding to alert notifications and addressing cause of alerts.
* Monitor service requests and adhere to posted SLAs.
* Monitor, validate and maintain data protection policies.
* Perform maintenance activities identified as needed to support the Firm infrastructure equipment, adhering to guidance provided by vendor support, engineering teams, SecOps and architecture teams.
* Adhere to Firm established outage procedures to ensure minimum service interruption for users.
* Follow maintenance schedules identified to ensure system uptime and availability.
* Maintain good working knowledge of Firm owned application software.
* Develop and maintain operational processes needed to ensure repeatable activities are recorded in a centralized repository.
* Provide necessary information to teams when presented with audits seeking data.
* Adhere to all IT and user quality assurance practices in order to ensure the highest quality of service.
* Comply with the IT Department's change request system.
* Ensure systems of record are maintained when changes occur in the environment.
* Performs other duties as assigned or required to meet Firm goals and objectives.
In terms of certifications, the ideal candidate will have:
* Cisco CCNA.
* ITIL V3 Foundation.
* Microsoft Certification related to Microsoft Windows Server.

Participate in scheduled on call rotations (Regional, Global, and Operations).
