Governance & ControlsSpecialistExciting role working within our Regional Sales Department Hybrid working options Competitive salary plus up to bonusAbout the roleThis is an exciting role know internally as a Regional Sales Governance & ControlsSpecialist where you will act as the Risk Information Officer to lead the effective management and mitigation of risk for Regional Sales.
This will be achieved through the development of risk management frameworks, controls, and mitigations which are designed to manage risk exposure and impact and to ensure continuity of service and compliance.
Using these measures alongside the regulatory requirements we will ensure that fair customer outcomes remain to be ;The key duties of this role are as follows:
Establish and maintain effective relationships with the Regional Management teams, Compliance, Regional Servicing teams, and Group Risk to support the on-going and proactive management of risk management across Regional Sales and Branch Network.Anticipate, assess, and report on emerging risks for the Regional Sales, including process, regulatory and market risks identifying, agreeing, and incorporating effective recommendations to mitigate risk exposure.Develop and maintain effective reporting structures and provide reports to the Regional Sales Management team on the status of risk management and controls, to ensure that adequate management oversight exists, and all risks are effectively managed and appropriate controls are in place that effectively manages risk exposure.Proactively monitor and review the implementation of risk and control frameworks within the Regional Sales teams and Branch Network, taking mitigating action as required, to ensure NFUM processes and practices are consistently applied, and the required standards are met.Champion a positive risk management culture within the regions, providing support to Field Management in developing risk awareness and implementing effective risk management across Regional Sales and the Branch Network.Facilitate the communication of risk and regulatory policy and practice changes within the regions to ensure that Regional Sales and the Branch Network have the required awareness and understanding needed to implement changes and meet regulatory requirements.Oversee effective management of sales distribution agreements within Regional Sales.
Ensuring all agreements are handled in line with Group, legal and regulatory requirements and that Regional teams are supported with both services and guidance sufficient to maximise the use of such relationshipsDeliver short term / one-off projects and activities as required by and to the standards and outcomes agreed with Line Manager.About youTo be successful in this role you will come from a risk management and regulatory background and have the following experience:
Experience of technical general insurance or risk management/audit experience.Knowledge of regulatory framework.Experience of managing and influencing stakeholders.Qualifications:
