FINTECrecruit is supporting an established design and manufacturing engineering business in hiring an Embedded Firmware Engineer .
This is a permanent role working Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week.
This role is based south of Edinburgh offering a great development opportunity becoming an integral part of a small engineering design group.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Design and development of embeddedsoftware for new and existing products for use in industrial electronic based solutions using PIC, STM32, Pi and SBC (single board computer) Testing and de-bugging firmware on electronic prototype circuits using test and debugging tools Working with other engineering disciplines (electronic, software, firmware and mechanical) to develop optimum system solutions, developing a range of remote condition monitoring equipment and sensors Qualifications and Skills required for the EmbeddedSoftware role:
Degree qualified 2/3 years experience as a minimum Experience of designing and coding software for embedded applications Motivated and good organisational skills in delivery projects on time Developing original designs with C, C++, C# in embedded environments Knowledge of electronic circuits and ability to read schematic diagrams Experience using analogue, digital and serial interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C etc.) Test/Debugging software-hardware interface using electronics lab equipment i.e.
multi-meter, oscilloscope, analysers etc.
Experience with wireless communications an advantage (Bluetooth, 3G/4G, LoRa) Creating basic Desktop Applications Further details of the EmbeddedSoftwareEngineer role is available on application.
