Lead the development of a performance-based culture to develop and recognise high performance and to ensure that fair and consistent decisions are made to support career development and in addressing issues of non-performance in a timely way.
Act as a coach and advisor on people issues to the Board & Executive team, providing HR advice, tools and support for managers on all HR policies and procedures covering the full employee lifecycle.
Ensuring all issues are handled in a timely and professional manner and in accordance with company policies and employment legislation.
Ensure the impact of forthcoming employment legislation is identified and that employment practices and performance management interventions comply with any statutory regulations/ best practice.
Work closely and flexibly with the Executive/ management team on Workforce Planning (inclusive of reorganisation) which supports the business strategy and objectives.
Lead organisation change initiatives aligned to business strategy and provide advice on people change processes throughout the employee lifecycle Keep abreast of business issues and their potential impact on workforce and recruitment requirements to help determine current and future resourcing plans and also critical areas for HR advice and support.
HR budget management, ensuring best value HR and benefit solutions provided.
Identify and implement ways to involve and engage employees with the business in a way that creates a real sense of belonging and drives retention (including leading the Team Representatives Forum to meet the Information and Consultation of Employees' regulations) Delivery of the internal communications plan and calendar including engagement events and regular communications events Deliver the Reward Strategy and ensure good governance on Remuneration, including providing papers and recommendations to the Remuneration Committee and leading key reward structure and programmes such as the annual pay review, bonus schemes, recognition programme, pensions, benefits reviews Lead and manage HR projects and programmes as required.
Ensure the delivery of the annual People Calendar through employee and manager engagement in the performance, development process, manager training, clear accountabilities, tracking and celebrating success.
Monitor and measure HR performance to provide meaningful HR information to aid decision making and business planning.
Ensure all data capture, management and storage is in line with corporate and all other (eg data protection) data/ document requirements. Manage HR supplier relationships What Will You Bring Extensive generalist HR expertise in areas related to employment legislation, people management, learning and development, resourcing, employee engagement, reward, organisation design, diversity, conflict resolution and change management with the ability to apply to complex business situations.
Previous direct people management experience (of a small HR team) with demonstrable experience leading by example in management practices.
Have proven relevant experience in a client facing HR role including as HR Director; Head of HR; HR Consultant; Senior HR Manager or similar, ideally with experience of working with multi-site operations teams, with the ability to connect and support at all levels of the organisation from Board/ Senior Leaders to team members working on Park Experience of working in customer focused, fast paced businesses.
SMB experience desirable.
Related industry experience desirable but not essential.
Experienced in supporting fast paced business transformation, ideally with M&A and TUPE experience.
CIPD qualified, ideally MCIPD or equivalent experience.
Experienced in managing HR programmes and projects with multiple stakeholders.
Able to balance the daily delivery of key short-term activities, with longer term thinking Ability to manage complex HR projects cross-functionally.
Strong commercial and financial awareness and experience of managing a HR budget.
Good communicator (verbal and written), able to tailor their approach to the audience and active listening skills with an ability to engage and influence stakeholders both internally and externally.
Experience of resourcing and recruitment activity, ideally for both permanent and temporary/agency workers in a business with seasonality Extensive generalist HR expertise in areas related to employment legislation, employee relations, people management, employee engagement, diversity, conflict resolution and change management with the ability to apply to complex business situations.
Understand and be aware of current and forthcoming employment legislation changes and be aware of the implications for the business.
Be able to translate these into working practices to ensure ACAS & legislative compliance.
Be able to demonstrate effective coaching, consultation, communication and negotiation skills across all key relationships and be able to build effective working relationships.
A pro-active, business focused attitude, coupled with tenacity & the determination to deliver is essential.
Good communicator (verbal and written), able to tailor approach to the audience and active listening skills with an ability to engage and influence stakeholders both internally and externally.
Excellent presentation, communication and listening skills with an ability to engage and influence others in varying coaching environments at a variety of different levels within the organisation.
Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Powerpoint), HR systems (APD, Rota advantageous), and ideally Recruitment systems (Harri) experience or similar.
