CentralEmployment is working with one of our longest-servicing clients, based in Washington, to help expands its IT team by taking on an experienced IT Technician who will be able to maintain the manufacturing and processing equipment, as well as the wider IT set-up.

In this role, you'll be joining one of the longest-standing manufacturing employers in the North East.
The IT team is already fundamental in ensuring that all processes, machinery, and software is working as intended to keep the factory running smoothly.
The role is Monday to Friday, though you may be on call from time to time, with hours being 08:
00 - 16:
30 Monday to Thursday, and 08:
00 - 14:
30 on Friday.
Working with a Microsoft tech stack, you'll need experience with MS O365, Office Suite, Access and Windows/Windows Server OS.
Not only will you be working with the internal systems, due to the integrated nature of the industry you may also be required to support IT systems of related customer activity, providing full network support across the business.
The salary for the role is up to £30,000 with benefits including 25 days holiday (including Bank holidays), Life Assurance, and Pension matched at 5%.
Due to the nature of the business, the role is full-time in the office with fixed holiday periods.
This means there are set periods of the year when you are able to take holidays, this is set out at the start of the year and based on customer demand.
Key Responsibilities:
To provide effective and immediate IT technical support all departments.
Installation and configuration of IT and related equipment.
Maintenance of hardware and software.
Support of customer systems.
Undertake project work as required.
Maintain IT working environment to the highest standards.
There may be some travel requirements, depending on business demand.
Though your main workplace will be the Washington site.
Key Experience:
3+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ideally Automotive/Engineering.
Knowledge and experience working with Windows and Windows Server OS.
Experience working with Microsoft Office 365, Office Suite, & Access.
Experience working with manufacturing systems & equipment within the Automotive or Engineering industries.
Key Benefits:
Salary £25,000 - £30,000.
Early finish on Friday, 14:
30.
25 days holiday, plus bank holidays (Holidays are fixed) Life Assurance, 4x Annual Salary.
Pension 5% of basic salary.
