A leading financial services corporation about to embark on greenfield on premise to cloud migration is hiring an InfrastructureSupportAnalyst with in depth 2nd/3rd line Infrastructuresupport skills.
This role is paying up to £40,000 + 15% Bonus + Excellent Benefits based in Wolverhampton up to 3 days per week.
The chosen Infrastructure Engineer will be Reporting to the VMware & Storage Lead, you will work across Server, Storage and Backup technologies, and the candidate would be expected to have good-level knowledge in these areas.
This role forms part of an Infrastructure team providing BAU and Project support to our clients.
You will be working in an ITIL SLA-driven environment to deliver high levels of customer service to our clients.
Role responsibilities:
Ensure that systems/services are provided at an optimum performance levels that meet agreed SLAs Ensuring IT procedures are correct and accessible Provide first line support for existing VMware services for in house and hosted environments Log all support related tickets via ITIL compliant ITSM platform Manage time and prioritise accordingly to ensure incidents are resolved within SLA's.
Work with engineers and third parties on complex tasks and configurations Implement upgrades Maintain and update technical documentation Comply with infrastructure policies Day to day monitoring of the infrastructure and associated components To provide rota based, on-call support for VMware and/or recently implemented solutions Skills required; Experience supporting VMware and working in a large scale, multi-site virtualised environment.
Good administration capabilities within enterprise backup solutions, troubleshooting and resolving issues Intermediate experience maintaining storage platforms Knowledge of vCenter Server and ESXi across all vendor supported versions Knowledge of Storage Technologies - Nimble, HPE 3Par, DELL PowerStore Knowledge of backup and replication technologies - Veeam, Avamar, Zerto (nice to have) Knowledge of PowerShell Scripting (nice to have) Microsoft Cloud Certification AZ-104, AZ-303, AZ-304 or equivalent (nice to have) Package:
