We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing / ProductionEngineer with a focus on milling to join our New Product Introduction team at our production site in Basingstoke.
The Role As Manufacturing / ProductionEngineer, you will Support the New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineering team, R&D and Production departments to offer solutions for DFM activities with a view to guide component/assembly line.
Key duties:
• Programming, setting and operating various 4/5 Axis CNC milling machines • Support New production Introduction (NPI) both from a Design for Manufacture (DFM) perspective and operational performance.
• Feeding back design changes • Designing and documenting work holding and fixturing using SolidWorks (Inc.
Technical drawings for outsourced manufacture) • Providing specialist engineering support involving machining processes and process controls for new and existing components.
• Running and proving out prototype components through validation process and feedback any improvements.

Small V&V batches for test • Work as part of a team to take new products from design to manufacture.
• Working in conjunction with the NPI, Post Design, Production and Quality Teams • Producing projects on time, to budget and in accordance with the company’s quality system • Process Documentation • Drive innovation for the strong processes What are we looking for? Key Skills:
• Minimum HND in Mechanical Engineering or related subject • In-depth Knowledge of CNC programming techniques, CAD / CAM, jig, and tool design • Previous experience with Fanuc, Haas & Siemens controls systems on 4/5 Axis & Multi pallet milling machines.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve problems, educate, and work to exacting standards • Competent use of measurement tools • Previous experience with Fanuc, Haas & Siemens controls systems on Multi Axis & Multi Spindle machines using gang style tooling.
• Experience in design and document work holding and fixturing using Solid works (Inc.
Technical drawings for outsourced manufacture) • SolidCAM/PowerMill/HyperMill experience is an advantage.
