Here at Ascent, we produce lessons to train the future Aircrew of the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force.
You will work in our courseware team, producing stand-out training graphics for use in classroom and e-learning lessons.
As part of a dedicated and diverse team you will work in a vibrant and inclusive environment.
Your Working Day:
You will collaborate with our team of Courseware Designers and Subject Matter Experts to bring their training needs to life.
Following a brief, you will work together to develop a graphic that meets the training need.
You will use a style guide to keep your work consistent and produce content that is attractive to keep our students engaged as they learn.
Great communication skills will help you work with many teams to get the best outcome.
You will:
Produce outstanding graphics to be used in courseware training Be able to follow a style guide to produce consistent graphics Collaborate with an assortment of teams in a friendly and engaging office Have the opportunity to experience both our headquarters and visit operating sites Drive performance and progress of the business by being aware of best media industry practices and recommending improvements Have access to training and courses for your professional development Be provided top quality hardware and a full catalogue of industry standard media software Feel welcomed as part of a lively and diverse environment What will make you successful? You will already have years of fantastic multimedia experience, having spent 3+ years working in the graphics industry.
Essential Software:
Adobe Illustrator - Intermediate level+ High quality vector work Adobe Photoshop - Intermediate level+ High quality image editing Adobe After Effects - Intermediate level+ High quality animation Desirable Skills/Software:
3DS Max/Blender Modelling, texturing, lighting and rendering Adobe Animate Animation and Javascript Coding Javascript Essential Skills:
Understanding of design, colour, layouts and design principles Strong communication skills Confident interpretation of design briefs Working to a deadline Collaborative working Time management Multi-tasking Initiative and drive Problem solving and decision making Experience:
3+ years of industry experience An appropriate graphics degree or qualification Portfolio Link:
