£32,326.00 + van+fuel card and overtime available (temp to perm role) Our client is a community centred housing association with around 8,700 homes in East Anglia.They empower their residents to make key decisions about their homes and the services they provide & pride themselves on being more than a landlord.
To carry out multi-trade maintenance and repair works to all required properties.
This will be achieved by demonstrating a thorough competency in various trades, in addition to using the skills obtained through a core trade qualification.
Key Functional Responsibilities:
Work in a safe, professional, and courteous manner always, ensuring that all works are carried out with due regard to the Health and Safety of all persons that may be affected by the works.
Undertake repairs across various disciplines including but not limited to, Plumbing, Carpentry, Tiling, Painting, vinyl flooring.
Undertake the duties and responsibilities of the post and comply with company Health & Safety Policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Practices, COSHH Assessments and all relevant Health & Safety Regulations.
Uphold company customer service standards while undertaking repairs and maintenance in residents' homes or Assets.
Hold and maintain a Full Driving Licence.
Take part in the late Wednesday evening rota (4-7pm) undertaking responsive repairs.
Average of 1 in 8 weeks.

Education and qualifications:
City & Guilds Advanced or NVQ 2 (or equivalent) in one of more trade disciplines not exclusive to plumbing, carpentry or joinery, plastering (or another wet trade discipline), painting and decorating (E) Experience:
Experience in maintenance and repair work in empty and occupied residential properties.
This will include carpentry and plumbing repairs, tiling, patch repairs to finishes and decorating – all to a high finish (E) Experience in site health and safety - including working at height, manual handling, asbestos awareness, COSHH, Personal Protective Equipment, and the safety of others (E) Willingness or experience in using a handheld Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to complete work (D) Knowledge and Skills:
Be highly skilled in your primary trade and fully competent in a variety of other trade disciplines (E) To have the following secondary skills:
Tiling – wall tiles and laying of vinyl floor tiles Carpentry repairs – Not exclusive to kitchen repairs, sills, hanging internal doors, boxing in and stud work Locksmith work – lock changes, forced accesses, ironmongery work such as window hinges and multi-point locks Plumbing – Not exclusive to dropping and draining radiators, repair/ replace taps, rerunning pipework, installation of sanitary ware External works – including repairs to guttering, concreting, and fencing Wet trade work – for example skimming of single walls, blocking up and skimming fireplaces Electrical work (must be qualified) (E) Proven ability to produce work consistently to a high standard whilst delivering work to target/ on time (E) Proven interpersonal skills (E) Commitment to delivering excellent customer service (E) Working hours will be Monday to Friday 07.30am to 17:
00pm with 30 minutes lunch deducted.
There is an on call rota which you will be asked to join after a qualifying period.
DBS check will be required for this role.

The interview will be arranged to assess suitability for the role.
The role is offered on a temp-perm basis with the potential to lead to a full time position with the company after 13 weeks as long as performance and standards are met.
A van, fuel card and uniform will be issued with this role.
Overtime available & paid x 1.5.
