Société : Cygnet Health Care Lieu : Highfields England
Are you an OccupationalTherapist who would like to explore a rewarding career experience? Ensure all your application information is up to date and in order before applying for this opportunity.
About Us CygnetHealthCare was established in 1988 as an independent provider of health and social care services in England, Scotland and Wales.
Your Role Service Line:
Mental Health Child & Adolescent Cygnet Hospital Sheffield offers a low secure service for women and CAMHS services for male and female adolescents over three distinct wards.
As a Band 5 or 6 OccupationalTherapist at Cygnet Sheffield, you will be based on Griffin Ward.
Griffin Ward is a 15 bed low secure service that positively supports young people who may need a longer stay in an inpatient setting within a low secure environment.
It offers a care and treatment pathway for individuals who may have complex mental health issues and whose needs and risk are such they need to be supported in this environment.
Griffin Ward has full MDT input, including a specialist doctor, psychologist, social worker, occupationaltherapist assistant and educational support from full-time teachers and educational support staff.
The ward focuses on working with individuals to understand their mental health and their risks and support their recovery.
This enables them to be successfully discharged to a less restrictive environment and to reduce the possibility of relapse.
Having a PICU, a general adolescent acute service and a low secure service on one site provides a clear therapeutic pathway through the services.
There is a diverse educational programme in place, so that young people can continue their education at the same time as receiving treatment.
Education is provided by our on-site Phoenix School, which has a ‘Good’ rating with Ofsted.
You will report directly to the Head OccupationalTherapist on site within the service.
You will also provide clinical and managerial supervision to your Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Occupational Therapy Directorate Under the leadership of our occupational therapy directors we support over 150 OccupationalTherapists.
Working together as a large team we provide support to each other across the group, with the opportunity to be part of specialist interest groups & become involved in service development.
Every service line has a clinical lead occupationaltherapist to lead and develop evidence based practice and agreed occupational therapy pathway.
We ensure our occupationaltherapists have a voice through participating in service model development, utilising the expertise and support of our clinical lead occupationaltherapists.
Occupational Therapy Preceptorship & Induction:
