Working at a fast paced scale-up businessThe legal sector, ideally an interest in Family LawManaging an important part of a businessJob DescriptionAssist the Operations Director and Loan Management team in overseeing individual loan facilities from execution to repaymentFinancial tracking - monitor actual vs expected usage of the drawdown facilities to ensure the facility will cover all estimated costsLiaise with solicitors, clients and the finance team to manage drawdown requests and process paymentsPresent summary reports of expected repayments to senior managementManage the redemption process for client loansSubmit drawdown requests to funders and sort client repaymentsAssist in re-financing loans that run beyond their original termEnsure all transactions are compliant with in-house procedures and FCA regulationsReport to the Operations Director and COO, support the company’s growth plans and strategic objectivesAdditional Responsibilities – as you develop in the role:
Take ownership of the revolving credit facility within the first six monthsConduct due diligence on live loans to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate mitigationDevelop processes for the roll-out of new products in 2023Process payments to solicitors, borrowers, and third-party service providersAssist the Finance Director and Operations Director with ad hoc tasksInput into the build of the in-house loan management platformRequired Skills & ExperienceTwo years’ experience in financial services is preferredLikely to have a Finance or Operations backgroundExcellent numeracy skills and ideally an understanding of credit facilitiesGood written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to present to both senior management and partnersAbility to multitask and prioritise effectivelyAbility to work under pressure and handle variable workloadsExperience in lending and revolving credit facilities is a plus, but not essentialGood understanding of FCA regulations is a plus, but not essentialPersonality FitMotivated, keen to learn and take pride in your work, drive to go above and beyond to help others and progress your careerProactive, out of the box thinker to spot challenges and improve processesA can-do attitude that will contribute to the success of the businessStrong emotional intelligence to build relationships, works well with clients, solicitorsConfident communicator to speak up with queries or ideasStrong work ethicAn interest in law is preferredLocation:
