Working Pattern:
Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available As a ProjectManager you will lead project teams in the refinement and execution of large capital projects across the Subsea business ensuring the safe delivery to programme, cost and the necessary quality.
As a ProjectManager your responsibilities include:
- Establish a coherent and achievable delivery strategy for the project including realistic programming from the outset, ensuring a clear procurement strategy is in place.
- Manage the safe, effective and efficient running of projects to ensure that these are executed to cost, schedule and quality.
- Accountable to the Business for all commercial aspects of delivery including contract negotiation, contract awards, and contract management, ensuring that any disputes are escalated as appropriate for resolution.
- With the support from the site team, engineering team and quality professionals that support the project there will be a requirement to ensure the projects are developed to an appropriate quality standard as set out in the Project Quality Plan.
- Lead teams, ensuring these are highly competent, well-motivated and organised to deliver consistent excellence, thereby meeting customer needs and hence delivering business objectives.
What do I need? To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- A natural or developed leader with a broad understanding of project management methodology and practice.
- Understanding of the SSEN Distribution Business and regulated environment that we operate in.
- Experience in the electricity Distribution industry, or construction, marine cabling or the utilities sector on major projects.
- A strong engineering and construction knowledge including the safety and CDM regulations.
- Ideally have experience of personally being responsible for the delivery of large capital projects.
- Degree qualified in an Engineering or related subject.
