Location - London (4 days on site over 2 weeks) Salary - £88,324.50 Our client is looking for a ProjectManager to join their friendly team.
The ProjectManager will support the Head of UK XBRL Taxonomies to deliver the FRC objective of setting high standards of corporate reporting through the furthering of opportunities in digital communication .
The ProjectManager will be responsible for owning, leading and delivering allocated aspects of the annual taxonomiesproject, under the direction of the Head of XBRL UK Taxonomies and with other members of the Taxonomies and FRC Lab Teams:
with overseeing and managing all aspects in relation to the FRC taxonomies and delivery of version updates in relation to the annual cycle.
Leading on the design amendments to existing taxonomies and where appropriate developing new taxonomies writing, researching, and presenting papers to UK XBRL Governance Committee meetings, Technical Task Force (TTF) meetings and Regulatory Codes and Standards Committee meetings.
attending and contributing to meetings and workshops at the FRC and other regulatory bodies, such as the FCA, HMRC, Companies House, negotiating and managing the funding arrangements with funding providers including BEIS, the FCA, Companies House, HMRC, and the Charities Commission working with other FRC Taxonomies and Financial Reporting Lab teams on wider digital reporting projects.
Essential Educated to degree level in a relevant field of study, with at least two years post qualification experience.
The role would suit someone with interest and understanding of corporate reporting, investment, and a desire to learn and develop Knowledge of the financial reporting environment of listed companies and a keen interest in Financial Reporting is desirable, as is experience with other UK regulators.
Knowledge of digital publishing workflows and corporate reporting timelines Extensive experience of project and account management Knowledge of XBRL and how it is used for non-narrative and narrative reporting.
High level written and communication skills with the ability to influence others.
Strong networker and diplomat Influencer and subject matter expert to influence fledgling digital reporting projects elsewhere in the world.
Creates and maintains key external relationships, e.g.
national accounting standard setters' staff, other UK regulatory staff and other interested parties.
Excellent ability to understand, analyse, and scope technical challenges Ability to step in when appropriate to represent other Taxonomies team members Capable of effectively working on a number of concurrent projects.
Able to work independently, with limited supervision to meet agreed project deliverables within agreed timetables.
Able to set project timelines and meet agreed project deliverables within agreed timetables.
Ability to inspire team members and make efficient use of different abilities and strengths within the team.
Ability to own technical resources and documentation and disseminate through the FRC Desired It would be advantageous to have knowledge of programming languages (e.g.
Python, Javascript etc.)and keen interest in, digital technologies especially the PDF format and web development.
