This challenging and exciting opportunity, based from either Leeds or Middlesborough, requires an electrical utilities professional possessing a strong technical background and demonstrable experience in operating as a ProjectManager from within any area of the power, energy, renewables or LV/HV sectors, and this can be from having worked for a client side DNO – IDNO, or a contractor or consultant.

Due to an increase in contract awards, a significant forward order workload, multiple long running frameworks, and a dedication to continued profitable and sustained growth, our client is now seeking to appoint an experienced ProjectManager covering LV/MV/HV power, OHL, sub-stations, connections, cabling and renewables, with all associated civils and infrastructure.
You will hold responsibility for planning, programming resourcing and delivering projects, contracts and frameworks in your respective workstream.
This is a pivotal role, responsible for the management and mitigation of project risk, culminating in the on-time delivery of a portfolio of complex and challenging works, meeting business and legislative requirements in project performance, client expectations and HSEQ compliance.
The Role * Achieve industry-leading project delivery to time, cost, budget, quality, safety and customer service standards, utilising internal technical and industrial resources, and sub-contract service providers * Deliver projects, contracts and frameworks ensuring pro-active identification, and management and mitigation of risk which will be applied through effective management * Drive and accomplish customer service standards, working in collaboration across all business areas where needed * Drive proactive management and improvement plans when standards and customer satisfaction is not achieved * Bring together external and internal project stakeholders to meet customer requirements * Lead and control core project areas, applying strategies to improve budget margin, ensuring customer satisfaction is always achieved * Routinely assess projects to identify risks and interdependencies, as well as opportunities, and resetting priorities if required * Plan and drive project deliverable and non-deliverable outputs, providing guidance to all site and project staff * Lead, monitor and record project financial, safety, operational and commercial performance and project closure * Ensure productivity and safety targets are delivered The Person * Preferably at least 5-10 years’ experience in a similar position within any area of the electrical engineering or utilities (power) sectors, and a good working knowledge of industrial electrical distribution systems and regulations * Knowledge of power distribution systems and DNO’s or IDNO’s and LV, 11kv and 33kv networks * Preferably an Electrical Engineering Degree or HND / HNC, or commensurate practical experience in the absence of any qualifications A highly attractive basic salary plus lucrative bonus earning potential and an extensive benefits package is on offer to the successfully appointed candidate, along with security and longevity of work, given the company’s market leading status and their continued dedication to ambitious growth.
