The MicrobiologySociety is a membership charity for scientists interested in microbes, their effects, and their practical uses.
It is one of the largest microbiology societies in Europe with a worldwide membership based in universities, industry, hospitals, research institutes, and schools.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of larger projects, those with longer time horizons, and those which cross various parts of the organisation.
Microbes affect all aspects of our lives, and the Society’s strategy includes ambitious expectations, which must be delivered while the business model of scientific publishing is going through a period of rapid and substantial disruption.
These changes generate potentially exciting opportunities which will require a rapid and significant change in the operation of the Society. This transformation will include initiatives that are large, long-term, or which involve unique subsets of the fifty staff.
Acting as a trusted aide to the Chief Officers, the ProjectsDeliveryLead will take responsibility for ensuring that these projects are closely monitored and delivered in a cost-effective and timely manner.
We are not looking for someone who ticks a long roster of artificial boxes listing essential and desirable attributes.
We are seeking candidates with a can-do attitude to the delivery of projects that do not fit neatly into defined structures and the ability to build relationships and communicate clearly with colleagues to successfully effect change Early applications will be prioritised.
