Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant LTF Recruitment Take your first steps in the education and training industry this April, with this fantastic opportunity for a recent Psychology graduate to work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at a wonderful, inclusive primary school based in Haringey.

The role LTF Recruitment are currently working alongside a fantastic, inclusive mainstream Primary School in Haringey, who are seeking a passionate Psychology graduate to work 1:

1 with pupils with special educational needs and support children working below their age-expected levels.

This is a full-time role would be a great opportunity for graduates looking to gain experience within the classroom and with working with special educational needs.

The role is available in April after the Easter Break, for the remainder of the academic year and with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Ideally, we are looking for a candidate with previous experience of working with children or with special educational needs, but this role would also suit a candidate who is looking to get SEN classroom experience.

Job details Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant Temp-Perm 8.30-3.30 Mon-Friday Full-time Haringey ASAP Start Key responsibilities To provide teaching support in both class based and small group / 1:

1 interventions to the highest standards to ensure children can progress confidently.

Assist the implementation of Individual Education Programmes for pupils and help monitor their progress.

Assist the teacher in monitoring progress by keeping a daily observation record and maintain special needs records as required.

To assist teachers in day to day classroom duties as required e.g.

with preparation of the classroom, material and displays to ensure outstanding teaching.

Reinforce the behaviour policy and aim to raise self-esteem and encourage independent working.

To participate in in-service training and attend staff meetings when appropriate.

To maintain a positive, supportive attitude within a team, to implement agreed school policies, aims and objectives and to promote the school ethos.

Work with other professionals, such as Speech Therapists and Educational Psychologists, as necessary.

Key skills and experience required A BSc in Psychology, or relevant field.

A patient and understanding approach.

An interest in working with students with SEND.

Existing experience working with children or with SEN desirable.

Capable of working independently and in a team.

Able to work with individual pupils and small groups of pupils.

Possess a caring nature and a deep regard for children.
