We are defined by our richness of personality, diversity of background and lifestyle and are now looking for a SalesManager to join us in a newly created role which will focus on reactive sales and who will embody our ‘Anything but Standard' ethos! Your role As a SalesManager (Reactive Sales) at The Standard, you will work in partnership with our Director of Sales, Sales team and our in house Events Team to provide an important link within the team to manage & convert sales enquiries.
You will be primarily responsible for quoting prospective Groups and Events enquiries to ensure that turnaround times are kept at a minimum and a prospective business lead is converted from a tentative enquiry to a contracted piece of business.
This will of course require you to develop relationships with all key bookers and event planners to ensure that they push any potential pieces of business to you in the first instance.
It is anticipated that you will undertake some account management for some of our key groups and events clients.
You will also support the Sales team with site visits, show rounds and client presentations as part of your role which will give you the opportunity to showcase the hotel and wider group.
We have also recently been granted our wedding licence so you will be targeted to grow and develop this important events market in conjunction with the rest of the team.
This is not a ‘Standard' SalesManager job so you will need to have miles and miles of personality and stamina, be highly social, upbeat and friendly; confident and be able to handle pressure well; thrive in a high-volume, high-energy environment and able to work equally well both independently and as part of a team.
Do you have what it takes to be a SalesManager (Reactive Sales) at The Standard Prior experience in a similar reactive Sales role is essential, however this may have been gained in either Events or Groups sales or Sales Executive role.
In addition to this you will also need.
* A passion for Sales with the ability to engage and connect with a wide range of guests from different backgrounds, ideally gained in a similar ‘Lifestyle' hotel.
* In addition to those with experience we are actively seeking candidates with a diverse range of lifestyle skills and welcome applications from those in the arts, music and entertainment industries.
* Strong time management and prioritising skills with exceptional attention to detail.
* Experience in selling and promoting Social Events, Weddings and Parties is advantageous * Highly social, motivated and pro-active; acting with professionalism and positivity in all interactions * Prior experience using Opera, Tripleseat & Cvent is advantageous along with any other third party RFP platform * If you think you have what it takes to be our SalesManager (Reactive Sales) we'd love to meet with you.
