This is an exciting opportunity for a CloudOperationsEngineer with Azure administrator skills and good understanding of cloud infrastructure including networking, to join an expanding CloudOperations team of a major UK banking financial institution undergoing considerable change.
This role involves working on and supporting critical platforms on Azure, and this a great opportunity to work on critical infrastructure.
Up to £60k basic plus bonus and benefits and the chance to make an impact to the UK Economy.
Hybrid working in the /City of London (2 days a week).
On-call 1 week in 6.
This role is part of a growing Cloud and Data Platforms domain, which is leading the Banks evolution and adoption of strategic platforms.
The domain is responsible for the entire platform lifecycle from build, development, automation and support in order to deliver a suite of services used across the organisation.
We are responsible for designing and building our platforms, operating them and working with business users to ensure they have everything they need to be successful.
The domain comprises of four core pillars; Cloud Platform, Data Engineering, Data Platform and A&V Platform.
Essential Criteria for the CloudOperationsEngineer:
* Experience of operating platforms in a controlled environment with strict change control * An enjoyment to challenge yourself in learning new technologies * A preference to automate * Preference to work as part of a team rather than individually * Available to be part of a 24/7 on-call support rota * Microsoft Azure and CAF knowledge * Microsoft Azure administration skills / certification * Windows / Linux Admin Desirable Criteria for the CloudOperationsEngineer:
* Experience in managing Kubernetes environments * A knowledge of Networks * Automation scripting (e.g.
Terraform) In return, this role offers a base salary of up to £60,000 plus excellent benefits including:
