Permanent On Site The SeniorDevelopmentPhysicist will be working with the latest technologies and ground-breaking sustainable innovations, in order to make developments in vacuum gauge and valve product performance.
The company are a highly successful international manufacturer that produces specialist equipment for the global manufacturing industry.
Key Skills:
Knowledge of vacuum science and vacuum pressure measurement techniques.
Ability to make suitable recommendations on the most appropriate technologies and approaches within the field of vacuum measurement.
To communicate effectively across a multi-disciplinary team.
Have an awareness of project time and cost demands.
To work effectively within a team, and support other team members.
Educated to Degree level in Physics (preferably PhD).
The successful applicant will:
Be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Physics, preferably they will hold a PhD though this is not essential.
Ideally be a Chartered Physicist/Scientist and a Membership of relevant professional body (e.g., IoP).
Be able to make design decisions based on knowledge of the business.
Work effectively within a team and provide support to more junior team members.
Be able to explain complex technical concepts to non-subject matter experts.
Flag early on any concerns around technical and schedule risks that may arise.
Be able to make recommendations on suitable technologies, techniques, and design approaches in the vacuum measurement field.
Promote new ideas to Management.
Carry out testing/experiments and provide the relevant documentation.
Research and keep track of the latest developments in the vacuum science field (this includes collaboration with the wider company community).
