This is a truly unique role, however it won’t be for everyone.

If you want independence, ownership and responsibility for delivering and growing our fundraising events then read on.

We have a small team, move fast and work very independently.

We run very much like a startup and are entrepreneurial and creative.

In partnership with our CEO and Head of Community and Events, you will have space to define and deliver on all the events.

We run a Results Only Working Environment (ROWE) which means that you have no fixed hours of work
- just do a great job in a way that works for you.

Who you are The role requires an Event Manager that has experience in delivering mass participation events.

We also require experience in building new events, using insights from our audience and a lot of creative thinking.

You are an outstanding communicator and a reliable planner.  You take real pride in being able to multitask well, create detailed event plans and you are someone that just gets the job done.

Project Management experience is a real plus.

Having a love for water isn’t a requirement, but it certainly is a big bonus if you do.

Given the complex nature of our events, experience running river swim events would be very beneficial.

The outcomes of your role include;   Deliver the Swim Collective events – comprising the Bantham Boomerang, Bantham Swoosh, Hurly Burly and the Dart10k, make sure the events are planned, delivered and reviewed successfully.

These are point-to-point swims down rivers, making the logistics much more complex.  They are iconic, bucket-list swims, and arguably the UK's finest.

The events often sell out in a day.

Deliver and grow the 24hr Swim Relay Series
- plan and deliver the 24hr London, Clevedon, Box End Park and Lake32 events as well as discovering potential new, 24hr swim locations.

This series has grown from 30 participants in year one to 600 in year two, and has the potential to grow to a £1m+ fundraising event over the next three years.

Working closely with the Events Assistant, the Events & Fundraising team and the Race Director, your responsibilities will include; 1.

Overall management of the logistics for all events including, but not restricted to:

Creating site plans & briefing docs Delivering staff and volunteer briefings at events Budget management Traffic management Coach bookings Security & health and safety Any other logistical duties 2.

Managing all production duties for the events including, but not restricted to:

Marquee hire Waste management Branding and signage Entertainment Source or hire event equipment Any other production duties 3.

Scoping out new swim locations for the 24hr Swim Relay series, working with the Head of Events to identify new locations and work with them to deliver and expand the events.  4.

Building solid local stakeholder/community engagement plans for each event to ensure that Level Water and Swim Collective have strong local relationships not only just in the swim event season, but all year round.

Managing supplier relationships across all events, ensuring that we are gaining a good number of quotes for services required, securing the best possible value for money on quality services, and always giving supplier feedback on completion of events.  6.

Running post-event debrief sessions, capturing feedback and ensuring that we are constantly learning for future events.

Line managing the Events Assistant who will be responsible for:

Swimmer support and comms Ordering merchandise Sourcing and managing caterers, stall holders and event supplies 8.

Working closely with the Head of Events and Race Director who are responsible for:

Ticket sales set up including ticketing system, website and insurance Liaising with all key stakeholders and gaining permissions Managing all event brand partners Contingency and risk planning 9.

Supporting the volunteer manager in the lead up to events 10.

An ambition would be for this role to take on the Race Director position for all our swims.  This would mean holding responsibility for; The operation and delivery of the event Having overall knowledge and top level oversight of the event Creating and checking through key documents prior to the event Confirming timings and on the day management of Health & Safety Making key decisions relating to the event start, operation and delivery Compensation details £30-40k basic (dependent on experience).

In order to come in at the top end of the band, you would have had previous Race Director experience.  Our whole team works remotely
- it is our preference that you can get to Tunbridge Wells one day a week (and more during the first month).  Over the event season, you will be required to travel to the events and you will be supported by the wider team.  There will also be travel to event locations outside of the event season for planning and local stakeholder relationship purposes.

We don’t work 9-5 and you don’t need to either We will agree on the outcomes that you’ll deliver each month
- it is up to you how, where and when to achieve them.
