About the roleReporting to the Logistics PayrollOperations Manager, this role will manage the daily operations of the Logistics Payroll Team.
The main purpose of the role is to ensure the accurate, efficient, timely and compliant completion of the end-to-end payroll cycle ready to send to the third-party payroll provider.
Driving an ethos of continuous improvement in the team, ensuring first-class customer service and excellent working relationships with all stakeholders.
You will ensure the payroll team is working to SLAs and delivery of the annual payroll calendar.
You will provide support to the Payroll and Payroll Support and will be based in the Hatfield office, working remotely as agreed with your line manager.
You will be pivotal to supporting the UK new starter experience, including onboarding, weekly/lunar and monthly payrolls and a seamless payroll experience for all Employees.
You will need to be experienced in processing UK Payroll, leading a team and will need to also have a good work ethic and a professional attitude.
About youYou are experienced in processing UK Payroll and have excellent knowledge of all processes within the Payroll team and of PAYE, NI and all the relevant legislation.
You have strong attention to detail and a drive to achieve 100% accuracy at all times and can self-motivate to work independently and work under pressure.
Ideally, CIPP qualified (Associate CIPP Payroll Technician Certificate qualification or above) or working towards this, you can use multiple sources to problem solve and quickly understand/analyse where decisions or actions will impact the team.
You have had experience with remediation plans and root cause analysis when issues have arisen which has a major impact on Payroll and prevented re-ocurrence.
You have strong team management and leadership skills and can manage performance issues in an effective and empathetic way, identifying individual strengths and development needs, whilst ensuring your team is set clear responsibilities and objectives for their roles.
