We are looking for an experienced SeniorSoftwareDeveloper to join our award-winning Technical Team!You will be working on some of the most cutting-edge projects for a company that is passionate about the environment!As part of our Transport and Smart Cities team, you will design code and implement state-of-the-art back-end and front-end solutions.
Your contribution will include building Restful applications, data pipelines and bespoke in-house end-to-end applications.Your responsibilities will include requirement capture, design specifications, data pre-processing, algorithm development, performance evaluation, development and the rollout of new applications for industrial IoT, Smart Cities and Digital Infrastructure Who will you work with? Our Software teams consist of both graduate and experienced software engineers.
As a SeniorSoftwareDeveloper, you will work with all areas of the technical teams, including both our Software and R&D Engineering teams, participating in our Agile working environment.You will be expected to coach and mentor a team as their sponsor, including general people management such as conducting one-to-ones, probationary reviews and identifying training opportunities, whilst being supported by your Head of Area.
Essential Skills Experience building RESTful applications and microservices Experience with an object-orientated language Experience with at least one JavaScript Framework Database Experience SQL/NoSQL Cloud Platforms, e.g.
AWS, Azure Version control is preferable Git Agile mindset (Scrum) Minimum three year's industrial experience Asynchronous Programming Excellent knowledge of OOP Desired Skills Apache Kafka Vertx AWS Elasticsearch/Kibana Docker React Auth0 CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) Memcache / Redis Design pattern experience Previous line management responsibilities/coaching and mentoring / performance management.
