We have a fantastic opportunity for a SeniorSoftwareEngineer to join own growing team! This is a hybrid role but must be able travel to our office in Neath.
This is a key role within the Software & Artificial Intelligence Data department.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced SeniorSoftwareEngineer familiar with full-Stack development and deployment of software solutions and architecture.
As a SeniorSoftwareEngineer, you will lead the technical development and professional development of both products and the team.
You will be responsible for continually reviewing the technology stack and processes and recommending suitable changes with the Head of Software & AI.
* Work to best practices in all aspects of the software development life cycle [SDLC].
* Enable best quality integration between our Edge Mesh Network and Cloud Systems.
* Ensure high code coverage through test driven development.
* Recommend software improvements and innovative ideas within the team.
* Offer support and guidance to Junior SoftwareEngineers.
What you will need:
* Degree level or equivalent commercial experience in software development / computer science role.
* Good experience with, Vertx, Groovy, Python, React, NextJS, Terraform, AWS, Ansible, Kubernetes, Elastic Search, and Mongo.
* Previous experience within a commercial environment.
* Ability to debug and troubleshoot code.
* Understand different testing methods and why they are required.
* Experience with Docker and Docker-Compose.
* Understand the need for secure coding and produce tested, high-quality code on schedule.
* Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservice architectures.
* Knowledge of Code Versioning tools, such as Git and it's best practices.
