Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in the area of Health, Safety and Environment? We are looking to recruit an assistant to the Depot QHSE Manager to ensure the site is legal and compliant to all H&S, Environmental and Food Safety legal and company standards in support of our businesses wider Environmental, Social and Governance strategy.
What will the successfulapprentice be doing? Assisting the QHSE Manager in the review of current policies and procedures and having the initiative to seek approval to amend, driving change where needed.
Makes effective decisions in ambiguous situations with an understanding of associated risk.
Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders even when conflicting priorities exist.
Having adaptable communication style to be able to communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
Exploring opportunities within the operation to exceed compliance standards.
Self-sufficient in managing conflicting priorities across a range of compliance areas.
Dealing with assurance and compliance issues in the depot that require immediate attention and resolution and understanding when to escalate.
To assist with assessing areas of depot risk and being proactive to find resolution before escalation.
Leading by example as well as Influencing staff within the depot to ensure they follow processes and standards.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end? SHE Apprenticeship Level 3 includes:
Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required) Work based delivery of Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard Full company induction including health & safety 20% off-the-job time will be given for study/assignments Monthly contact session with your PV trainer Internal training provided by your employer and workplace mentor What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship? The successful completion of this apprenticeship could lead to a permanent position in our depot management structure.
