Job Description Due to increased demand Experian are currently recruiting for an experienced SolutionArchitect to join our Solutions Architecture team.
This role will provide structure and control of the diverse Infrastructure that supports the many Products and Services used by Experian employees and Clients.
Working in collaboration with the various business units, Enterprise and Domain architecture teams to manage the deployment of infrastructure through its entire life cycle of design, installation, maintenance and through to eventual product retirement.
In summary - As part of the Solutions Architecture team you will participate in the design and communication of high-level solutions architectures.
Develop the skills and knowledge required to understand the infrastructure components that comprise the overarching architecture and interactions of infrastructure components.
For areas of expertise, provide architecture consultancy, governance and direction to the SME teams and business units.
Key Responsibilities * Use appropriate tools, including holistic models of components and interoperability, to contribute to the development of infrastructure architectures in specific business or functional areas.
* Produce detailed component specifications and translates these into detailed designs for implementation using selected products.
* Within a business change programme, assist in the preparation of technical plans and cooperates with business assurance and project resources to ensure that appropriate technical resources are made available.
* Provide advice on technical aspects of infrastructure deployment and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc.) and ensures that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices are applied correctly.
* Ensures all Architecture documents for projects that are assigned are reviewed and approved to the appropriate standard * Ensures all Architectures for involved projects are consistent in driving improvements in implementation / performance and maintainability * Maintain an in-depth knowledge of specific specialisms, and provides expert advice regarding their application.
* Can supervise specialist consultancy.
The specialism can be any aspect of information or communication technology, technique, method, product or application area.
* Responsible for dissemination of technical information relating to their specific specialism, to ensure a high degree of multi aspect technical capability in the team * Adhere to all regulatory requirements within area of responsibility and escalate issues quickly.
* Pro-actively identify risks and take steps to mitigate these.
* Ensures team members understand the importance of adhering to their regulatory obligations and responsibility for implementation of company policies and procedures.
* Ensure team members understand the operating model and the functional and individual responsibilities * Maintains awareness of opportunities provided by new technology to address challenges or to enable new ways of working.
* Within own sphere of influence, works to further organisational goals, by the study and use of emerging technologies and products.
* Contributes to briefings and presentations about their relevance and potential value to the organisation.
* Specifies and designs large or complex systems.
Selects appropriate design standards, methods and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solutionarchitectures and ensures they are applied effectively.
* Reviews others system and infrastructure designs to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technology.
* Contributes to policy for selection of architecture components.
* Evaluates and undertakes impact analysis on major design options and assesses and manages associated risks.
* Ensures that the system design balances functional, service quality, security and systems management requirements.
* Understand and participate in continual performance review; ensuring stretching personal objectives, a personal development plan and regular self and team feedback.
* Comply with the Training and Competency requirements and complete required training in a timely manner.
Qualifications * Awareness of architecture framework (in a previous organisation), PCI Compliance and FCA Regulations and IDLC * Creation of an HLD with multiple infrastructure components * Experience with NGFWs rulesets and functionality (IPS, AVC, WAF) (checkpoint, Fortinet and Cisco) * Experience with network load balancers (Netscaler, route 53 etc) * Experience with Routing and switching (enterprise network routing design, campus switching design) * Experience with data centre network design (VXLAN EVPN, ACI, NSX-T) * Experience with cloud provider network design (AWS, Azure, GCP) * Good technical and non-technical communication skills, written & oral, internal / external, formal & informal * Good at building relationships within department and across division * Familiar with infrastructure components & platforms e.g.
.Postgres, Kubernetes, SQL, Datastage, CICS, z/OS, Windows, Linux, application infrastructure, IP networking for LAN, WAN, DC, Cloud and associated components * Familiar with frameworks & design patterns, e.g.
ESB, MVC, etc.
* Familiar with web architectures, APIs, cloud infrastructure, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, etc.
and DBMS architectures, as required * Familiar with architecture tools & utilities, e.g.
MS office Suite, MS Visio, PowerPoint * Familiar with Experian products/applications - Non-functional capabilities / requirements * Familiar with Compliance & Security - Security related Architecture Desireable:
- * Formal architecture certification such as TOGAF is desirable * Experience with VMware hypervisor technologies * Experience with Citrix VDI solutions * Experience with Microsoft server technologies (AD, DNS, DFS, Always on SQL) * Experience with network and storage encryption technologies.
