A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SOUS CHEF AT WOTTON HOUSE HOTEL What you'll be doing..

.



Reporting to the Executive Chef, we are looking for a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our Kitchen Brigade.

You will support the Head chef in all aspects of Kitchen management, from Rota planning to stock control and invoicing and ordering to colleague development.

As Sous chef you will have a good knowledge for everything food and have a genuine interest in creating and costing new and exciting dishes to WOW our guests.

You will have a natural flair for inspiring creativity and will encourage the team to use their own individuality in everything they do while providing and maintaining a fun, positive and creative atmosphere.

You will have the opportunity to challenge the status quo and bring fresh ideas to the team.

To succeed in the role of Sous Chef you will need the following qualities and skills.

To be flexible in your approach, and able to deputise in the absence of the Executive Chef and support other members of the kitchen brigade when required The ability to adhering to and leading on the companys rules and regulations on policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, health & safety, and licensing regulations The ability to manage various sections of the kitchen, whilst ensuring health & safety standards are met A team player who thrives in the hustle and bustle of a busy kitchen department Someone who is passionate about food and willing to learn Previous experience in a similar role, at either Sous Chef or Junior Sous looking for their next role An understanding of quality control and kitchen standards Determination and drive, with good communication skills Organised and a calm persona whilst under pressure WHAT WE OFFER You will have access to a benefits package we believe truly works for our people and enhances our overall culture..
