We're looking for a CDP level chef to work Friday 4-9:
30, Saturday 12-9:
30 and Sunday 10-6:
30, total 23.5 hours.
The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.
THE PLACE The Ruin is an independent bar in Digbeth which aims to provide a relaxed, welcoming environment with good food and drink.
We are a wet-led business providing a simple menu with homemade, quality ingredients.
THE JOB Working 23.5 hours over the weekend in a one-person kitchen, your key responsibilities will be:
Maintaining first-class health and safety standards, including excellent hygiene, regular temp checks etc.
We have a 5-star EHO rating and always work to this standard.
Preparation and cooking of our regular menu of loaded fries, nachos and home-made burgers, as well as our well-regarded Sunday roasts.
Working with front of house staff to ensure all of our customers leave happy.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Flexibility, enthusiasm and problem-solving , suitable for a small team and a small business.
You'll need to work well on your own as youll generally be the only person in the kitchen (although usually with help from a k.p./ barback).
At least 2 year's experience as a chef and currently be working in a kitchen, probably CDP level Have a current Food Hygiene level 2 cert.
Enthusiastic about food and keen to play your part in working with the wider team.
Someone who takes pride in their kitchen, constantly maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food presentation.
In return Well pay £11 / hour plus free food on shift.
