AssistantBuyer - 12 MonthContract Position.
This role is a remote position with the exception of the occasional requirement to collect samples from our office which is located at 44 Kodiak Cres, Toronto, ON.
We are TTC Subway Accessible and we have plenty of parking available on site.
What you'll do:
Assist the Buyer to manages the day-to-day merchandising strategy execution, including assortment, sales planning, pricing and distribution to reach agreed upon financial goals Work with Direct Source vendors to develop new product options and better product costs including design details, packaging and other product features required to compete successfully Work with Direct Source vendors to address issues in production Conduct regular own and competitive store visits Makes product recommendations to the buyer Maintains knowledge base of industry and market trends as it relates to their category Work with the Buyer to merchandise and buy a category or group of product categories for one or more banners Partner with team to overall financial performance of product categories by setting strategies and merchandise direction Selects products to fill the agreed upon assortment plan What you need:
University degree or College Diploma in Retail Management, Fashion or Supply Chain.
1 + years’ experience in a merchandising (AssistantBuyer) role (footwear experience is preferred) Microsoft Excel Skill Level Required:
