QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And ExperienceMasters Degree in SpeechLanguagePathology and a minimum of five (5) years recent clinical experience including at least three (3) years in pediatrics.
Eligible for Registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Professionals of BritishColumbia and membership in the Canadian and BritishColumbia Associations of Speech-LanguagePathology and Audiology.
Postgraduate courses in pediatrics, leadership and supervision preferred.
Valid BC Driver's License.Skills And AbilitiesDemonstrated interest in furthering the profession of speech-languagepathology.Demonstrated knowledge of speech-languagepathology and current skills in pediatric rehabilitation.Demonstrated abilities in clinical supervision.Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret research and evidence based practice reviews and integrate into practice.Ability to foster interprofessional collaborative practice.Noted flexibility, ability to function independently and ethically.Effective verbal and written communication skills both with professionals and families.Demonstrated problem-solving and goal-setting skills.Ability to organize and lead group meetings.Demonstrated skills in time management.Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and evaluate employee performance.Demonstrated knowledge of ongoing standards of practice/quality of care.Physical ability to perform the duties required of this position.
