Our private sector client is seeking a Manager to join their Domestic Tax team in Ottawa .
This is a hybrid, full-time opportunity.
The successful candidate must have a completed CPA designation and 5+ years of experience in public accounting with a specialization in tax for at least two years .
Salary range:
$80k-$100k About the role The successful candidate will:
Lead client engagements for a variety of clients, including small & medium enterprises Identify, develop & implement strategies for clients to capitalize on business and tax opportunities.
Including preparing & review tax reorganizations and reviewing corporate, trust & estate tax returns Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients Participate in business development initiatives, including identifying new business opportunities with existing clients Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues Engage in training staff and invest in the professional development of your team Review files and notes and ensure compliance with the Income Tax Act About you Have completed your CPA designation 5+ years of experience in public accounting, with a specialization in Tax for at least 2 years Extensive understanding of relevant tax legislation, corporate, personal and trust tax planning and compliance Have prior experience in managing a team of at least 15 people Values teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills Perks & Benefits Comprehensive health benefits (including flex credits, health & dental, insurance and disability coverage) Receive up to 5 weeks off per year Participate in company-wide events Opportunities for training & skills development Have questions or are not sure if this role is a fit for you?
