Overview:
Pembina's LNG New Ventures Division provides engineering and project support for Cedar LNG and other related LNG opportunities.
Reporting to the Manager, Projects, this individual will be an experienced ProjectEngineer that will provide technical and project execution support to the Cedar LNG Project Team.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

To read more about our Life Saving Rules, visit pembina.com/safety; The role is focused on the development of Cedar LNG from FEED through to the completion of the execution phase; As an integral role on the multi-disciplined Cedar LNG Project Team, candidate will provide technical and project execution expertise on a variety of project tasks and challenges; Apply technical and problem-solving capabilities to an array of onshore, nearshore, and offshore applications and engineering problems; An overall understanding of the project execution process including typical stage gate processes is required; Manage third party engineering consultants, fabrication facilities and vendors as well as other related service providers; Close collaboration with environmental, land, regulatory, and indigenous disciplines through engineering and construction activities; Working closely with construction, commissioning, and operations stakeholders through all development and execution stages; Execute and plan projects with safety in mind and support efforts to ensure reliable operation of the facility; Create and manage the creation of technical and non-technical documents including scoping documents, project plans, multi-disciplined drawings, RFPs, RFIs, equipment specifications, purchase requisitions, contracts, operating narratives, etc.; Prepare Consultant Work Requests to direct the services of construction contractors and engineering service providers; Review engineering documents prepared by EPC contractors, consultants and suppliers; Collaboration with project services including project controls, document control, technical services, project governance, safety, security, etc.; Work with the project controls team to establish project baselines related to cost, schedule, scope, quality and risk areas, and monitor performance against these baselines; Actively participate in design reviews and process hazard assessments (PHAs); Ensure project deliverables are technically accurate, adhere to project constraints and ensure deliverables are completed in accordance to the Pembina PMO (Project Management Office) processes and industry best practices; Provide engineering expertise to support new business opportunities and operational excellence initiatives; Embrace opportunities to work on-site in the field; Liaise with contract specialists to develop RFPs, Bid Packages and corresponding purchase orders.
Prepare scope of work for services Interface collaboratively with the Project Team, Operations, Service Groups, Peers and other stakeholders to enhance continuity of effort and execution effectiveness; Act as an SME in areas of project expertise and help to develop and champion initiatives of continuous improvement within these areas; Embrace and demonstrate a collaborative partnership mentality with joint venture initiatives (Cedar LNG) Support other LNG opportunities; and Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be a Professional Engineer and be registered with APEGA; Prior LNG experience is an asset; Minimum of 5+ years of relevant engineering experience in capital projects; Demonstrated knowledge of safe work practices and protocols applied in the industry; Working knowledge of technical standards and specifications related to process piping and systems; static, rotating, fired and pressure equipment; Possess extensive knowledge of engineering principles related to facility design and construction and be experienced in the application of the rules and regulations governing the Canadian industry; Previous field experience in operating and or construction of processing facilities are valuable attributes; Thorough knowledge of relevant technical standards, safety codes and regulatory requirements applied in BC for LNG and facilities; Strong problem-solving skills, adaptable and able to juggle multiple demands; Competent with report writing, a strong communicator combined with presentation capabilities; Self-motivated by goals and targets, focused on high work demands and is naturally takes responsibility for achieving results; Instills confidence and creates strong relationships quickly; and Creative and accepting of new challenges.
This position is considered Safety Sensitive so will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing.

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position.
