The mission of the Payroll Department is to manage day-to-day payroll operations in a timely manner, in compliance with tax regulations and company policies and procedures.

Reporting to the Head of Payroll, your main mandate will be to produce, in collaboration with the team of coordinators, the payroll of all unionized and non-unionized employees of all the company's divisions, within the required deadlines, while ensuring the quality of the information generated.

- Support the payroll team, ensuring the delivery of payroll services in an efficient, timely and compliant manner;
- Perform double validation of activities related to Canadian and U.S.

payroll production within the required timeframes, in compliance with government, state, legislative and tax regulations, conventional standards and various internal procedures and processes;
- Control the production of executive payrolls, as well as the production of payroll for members of the Board of Directors, to ensure that all payments are made accurately and that they are promptly notified of any changes (STIP, LTIP, shares, taxable benefits, etc.);
- Reconcile and prepare payments to various suppliers, such as government rebates and remittances to institutions and organizations;
- Prepare monthly reports and accounting reconciliations;
- Keep abreast of laws and regulations governing payroll, various unions and general ledger filing;
- Respond to various requests from internal and external customers;
- Assist various departments in applying and maintaining policies, standards, collective agreements and management procedures, ensuring compliance with legal obligations and various government regulations;
- Participate in year-end activities for Canadian and U.S.

payrolls, ensuring process compliance and adherence to deadlines;
- Participate in the integration, testing and implementation of enhancements and interfaces, as well as those related to tax and legislative updates to the payroll and time systems;
- Execute activities related to the production of Canadian and U.S.

payrolls within the required timeframes, in compliance with government, state, legislative and tax regulations, conventional standards and various internal procedures and processes in the absence of payroll department coordinators and/or when required;
- Participate in various projects as required.

Qualifications College diploma in administration or accounting; Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a similar position; Good knowledge of payroll rules; Experience with the payroll of employees from another Canadian province Experience with self-processing a volume of 400 employees or more Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel.
