QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And ExperienceMSW from a recognized school of social work with 3 years related experience working with mentally ill elderly in an institution or community setting.Current full registration with the BC College of SocialWorkers.
Experience working with caregivers, family members.Experience working with a multidisciplinary team.Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.Skills And AbilitiesAbility to work independently or as a member of a team and with deadlines.Excellent interpersonal skills.Teaching skills.Demonstrated ability to network with other services/agencies.Working knowledge of the Mental Health Act.The Guardianship Act and other relevant legislation applicable to the care of the elderlyDemonstrated skills working with seriously mentally ill elderly.Ability to operate a computer and related software.
