Would you like to join one of the largest providers of communications and IT solutions across the UK as aConnectivityManagedServicesEngineer? You will beresponsible for delivering pro-active ManagedServices in line with contractual obligations, working within an ITIL environment.
The role will help develop and evangelize all aspects of ConnectivityManagedServices delivery, performance measures, compliance reporting, service protection, capacity, and lifecycle management for the end Customer.

About the role..

Deliver pro-active ManagedServices in line with contractual obligations, first and foremost.
Improve Security Posture Build out learning & information to increase knowledge of contractual obligations Ensure all ManagedServices KPI and SLA targets are achieved Input into lifecycle management process alongside the Product and Operational teams ensuring supportability and relativity Identify potential operational inefficiencies and launch initiatives, process redefinition, or automation projects to improve efficiency.
Be a SME as required to work with DevOps to define, develop, and test improved automation, monitoring, and reporting functionality.
Support analysts on Escalated Incidents owning problems Deliver work on customer solutions with reasonable skill and care and the necessary skill, experience & resources to perform the services in accordance with good industry practice Represent the department internally and externally with customers and 3rd parties as required Ensure working practices are well defined and operational with minimal disruption using technology to improve efficiency as appropriate Develop and implement Quality Reporting methods Encourage open communication between team members, suggesting and driving forward ideas about how the team can work more effectively together Remain aware of new product developments and provide input and tactical direction Ensure high quality, up-to-date documentation exists for all Managed Service arrangements Following defined ITIL Policies and Processes and ISO 270001 Quality procedures Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours if required What do we need from you? A strong sense of responsibility, personal ownership, and willingness to be a great team player Experienced in executing live network changes to ITIL change management standards Experience working with Cisco or Juniper technologies, troubleshooting of switching, routing, and firewall platforms Ability to provision and troubleshoot IPv4/v6, MPLS VPN, BGP, ISIS, RSVP, LDP, OSPF, DSL, IPsec, PPP/L2TP, 802.1q, Nexus, Pseudo wire, QoS, STP, HSRP, VRRP and WAN technologies including Ethernet, xDSL, Leased Lines and LES Experience in operating Network Management Systems and SNMP based monitoring systems Experience with ITIL processes for Incident, problem, and change management Practical understanding of layer 2 and layer 3 technologies Additional information Did we mention the perks?
