University of York campus (with some remote working options available) This role sits in the GlobalPartnerships Team, reporting to the GlobalPartnerships Manager.
You will be joining the team at a critical time in the growth of international activity at the University.
The team around you are committed and driven, and work to develop key strategic alliances across the world.
You will work with them to deliver the international aims of the University strategy. As part of this role, you will support, manage, develop and negotiate key partnerships in specific areas of the world to facilitate joint academic projects, to raise York’s profile, and to generate new opportunities for the University across research, teaching, and capacity building activities. You will be responsible for mapping existing research, teaching and engagement links in several strategic regions You will identify and assess new research and teaching opportunities for bilateral partnerships You will provide analysis and briefing materials for senior staff, organise international visits and host international delegations. You will support the GlobalPartnerships Managers in major strategic projects and network engagement. Project managing, planning and accompanying incoming and outgoing visits Maintaining a database of Memoranda of Understanding that the University signs with international partners Skills, Experience & Qualification needed The successful candidate will have:
Good knowledge of Global and Current Affairs Knowledge of International research funding and government policy-making Knowledge and understanding of university research and teaching environment Excellent interpersonal skills including diplomacy and tact.
Sensitivity to issues of cultural difference.
