AstrumSearch is delighted to be working alongside a FTSE 100 construction business to recruit an InternalAuditManager.Reporting to the Head of InternalAudit, this is a high-profile role with a high level of autonomy and exposure across all parts of the business.
The team work very flexibly and the role can be based anywhere in the UK, although those based close to London, Birmingham or Glasgow are preferred.Whilst the role is largely remote, you must have a high degree of flexibility and be happy to travel up to 25% of the time in the UK.Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate the design, operational effectiveness and efficiency of processes and internal control systems Analyse changed in the control environment that impact on the risk profile of the business Ensure the delivery of end to end audits, to a high standard, across all business units and risk areas, including finance and operational issues, project reviews, special investments and ad-hoc requests Report to senior management on key issues in a clear and concise fashion, providing recommendations to improve the control environment and mitigate risk Drive a culture of continuous improvement as a result of knowledge gained during audit reviews.Skills & Experience:
Relevant qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIA or equivalent) Demonstrable internalaudit experience with a broad range of audit experience Sound understanding of risk and controls, as well as process and systems that support management information and reporting Excellent communications skills including good influencing and negotiating skills Analytical mindset to effectively interpret data to aid internalaudit reviewsThis is a very broad role that will give you exposure to all business units, allowing you to gain a detailed understanding of the organisation.
