SeniorSystemsEngineer (EquipmentEngineering) – Radar Warton, Lancashire (2-3 days per week in office) – 12 month duration – Pay rate £50 p/h PAYE basic (£57.27 inc holiday pay) or £65.98 p/h Umbrella We are looking to recruit an EquipmentEngineer to work as a part of the European Common Radar System Mk0 RadarEquipment Delivery Team.
You will be working for a leading aerospace client, who can offer hybrid working circa 2-3 days per week on site and remainder working from home.
Responsibilities:
Review Supplier Documentation in support of new and evolving Radar products.
Review Declaration of Design and Performance (DDP) document.
Review of Equipment Amendment Proposal Forms (EAPF) and raising of associated Request For Alteration documentation as appropriate.
Review and assess Supplier Trials Modifications and raise associated Experimental Change Requests (XCRs).
Review and process Supplier Waiver applications.
Review and process Supplier Deviation applications.
Production of Build Test Procedures in support of Development and Production Aircraft build.
Support ad-hoc technical queries both from the Supplier and external stakeholders.
Provide status reporting of the progress of ongoing tasks through the JIRA toolset.
Liaise with Subject Matter Expert (SME) areas as appropriate.
All the above activities would be discharged as part of a wider team reporting to the Equipment Delivery Team Group Leader for the ECRS Mk0 Radar.
Training will be provided where necessary.
The role requires a strong Engineering background with good written and verbal communication skills.
Requirements:
Proven ability in an EquipmentEngineer or System Engineer role.
Background working in Aerospace industry.
Knowledge of radarequipment desirable.
Ability to maintain a high level of visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time.
Ability to work well within a team environment.
Ability to read, analyse and interpret engineering information.
Ability to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of variables to identify the root cause of problems.
A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience.
The candidate must be good with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Communication, Team Working and Motivation are Essential.
Additional information:
This role will require the successful candidate to undertake a baseline personnel security standard clearance prior to starting.
