Our client located in Durham Region is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate BilingualSocialWorker/ FamilyInterventionOfficer to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging families in collaborative decision-making, with a focus on identifying and addressing the unique strengths and needs of children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conducting well-developed assessments of families to identify their unique needs • Developing customized intervention plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children • Collaborating with children, families, and their support networks to develop, implement, and monitor service plans • Advocating for additional services where appropriate • Assisting children and families in coping with separation and loss • Identifying safety and risk factors and developing strategies to mitigate risk Requirements:
• Fluently bilingual in both French and English • University Degree in Social Science, Social Work and/or related field • Registered SocialWorker and/or in the process of becoming registered • Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and regulations • Compassionate and dedicated to helping families • Access to a vehicle daily and a valid driver’s license What's in it for you:
